If in Ithaca I would definitely recommend making a stop to check out the lovely offerings this museum houses. Though small, you will find everything from artifacts to artwork.

IM Pei designed. Unique building and setting. Great views. Nice assortment of asian art. Great place to start a walk on campus.

Nice collection of odds and ends. We were pleasantly surprised. Some art, some artifacts. Beautiful scenery on the top floor. Make sure to check the light show on the bench, I believe, on the 2nd floor.

The Johnson Museum of Art is right in the Cornell campus near one of the gorges. Its a nice museum offering art work donated by many Cornell graduates and supporters. Special exhibits change every few months. We saw the Javanese photo exhibit capturing beautiful photos...More

A beautiful place to visit with much to offer. And there is a great view of Cornell and the surrounding areas that makes it special.

But the views from the top floor were breathtaking. The exhibits were kind of boring though. The female security guard was very friendly and helpful as to other activities in the area. Go just for the views on the top floor-worth it since it's free!

I still love this place today. I sometimes feel guilty because I love the building more than the art that it keeps and displays. One of my favorite places is found outside, tucked in below its northern façade.....a Japanese dry water garden ....and one day...More

We had 2 hours to kill before dinner and going to the museum was definitely the right choice. Not that they have a good collection but they also offer a great view!
