One of the best, if not the best mountains in the East Coast. So close to NYC. I alway take the NYC Snow Bus to Hunter Mountain.

You may not be able to ski Hunter in August, but you can climb it - 9 mile loop to the summit and the tower. Views are incredible but this is a tough climb - 2000' elevation gain and a rocky, muddy 9 mile loop....More

Hi, I would call the mountain and ask. Your local library may also offer bus trips. Check with them or your town hall.
