Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is a family owned dairy farm and winery, a very nice place with a guided tour, tasting and a really great store with a variety of cheeses, chutneys, salsas, baked artisanal goods and much more. Really loved the place and people are very friendly and nice. Farm animals look healthy and happy.

We paid for the cheese, beer and wine tasting tour. It was the worst experience. They took forever to get us started and by the time we were supposed to do the wine tasting, the bartender just left. They were closing and he poured us a glass of red wine and said he had to go. Don’t even bother with this place.

If you love cheese and speak Spanish or at least understand Spanish then you will enjoy spending an hour or so at Finca Vai. It's a working farm so expect some genuine farm smells!! We found the guides to be fun and informative even though the organization could have been better especially when large groups started to appear by the busload, but overall we were happy to have visited.

Tourist trap. People working there don't care. The place is dirty. The bathroom is disgusting. They do wine tasting in a plastic shot glass.... They don't know the wine. They don't want you to pay with a credit card. Awful.

I wanted to try some cheese to and finally decided to get the hell out of there without even looking at the cheese.

My friend and I were very much looking forward to this finca, its cheeses and wine tastings. We should have kept on driving.

The person who greeted us appeared more annoyed at our presence than anything else. When we asked her about wine tastings she looked around and said: "Oh well! I don't know if we have any wine for tasting". Then she walked us to a side table, filled with flies, and offered us a tasting of a white wine and a rosé one, in little plastic cups. Then another colleague came by, offering us a tasting of the red wine. When I asked the person to tell us something about the grapes and the wine, she read the label from the bottle. Sensing our annoyance, someone else came who appeared to actually know the wine and provided a little bit of a better explanation. When it was time to pay, we were told that the card terminal was broken and that we would have to pay cash.

The wine was actually very good, which is why we bought some. However, I will not stop there again. The tasting, the tour and the whole set-up appear more of a tourist trap than anything else. As for the cheeses, a quick glance at the refrigerator and they seemed like anything you can buy at a supermarket in Soriana or Superama...

Too bad, the wines do have potential; the service and welcoming is, in short, insulting.

We booked a tour and this was one of the places we visited. It's a farm when you can see how cheese it's made. The guides are quite funny and makes more interesting. After the tour, you'll taste various type of cheese and at the end you can buy the one that you loved the most. Wether you're on your own or in a guided tour you should stop and visit.

This finca offers home made products such as cheese and has as very small restaurant with 3-4 tables. But you can rent the place and make a bigger party

This was my first visit and it was march of 2016, and while I did not know what to expect, turned out pretty nice. The line does get pretty long so it would be good to get there early, and they have different option to purchase depending on what you would like to see. Overall it very beautiful and the tours are great and lots of wine, to drink and sample.

We spent an afternoon at Finca VAI taking the Cheese making & Wine Tour. Although you don't actually see the actual Cheese making and the Wine making process, they give you a talk and demonstration and a stroll around their property. They do have a small wine tasting at the end and they have a patio to sit and have some wine and cheese. All in all, not a bad way to spend an afternoon. The people were very nice.

Interesting explanation about the cheese making process but otherwise too staged! We took the cheese+wine tour and it was OK. The part about how cheese is made is very interesting and informative ... but everything else is just too staged.

The cheeses they have are OK.
