Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This should be the #1 tourist attraction in Queretaro - it is by far the most unique experience (la Peña de Bernal an hour away not included). It's huge and maybe the only chance to see a Roman-style aqueduct in North America.

Is it worth going out of your way to see this and Queretaro? If you're driving through, it's worth a stop. If you're on a short vacation and the goal is a lot of sightseeing, Queretaro might not be a worthwhile place to spend a night.

The aqueduct is large and it's there, but that's about it. It's not like you can walk on top of it or anything.

What an impressive and beautiful site to behold. And it's free though it's even more impressive when you get the backstory. I did a 3 hour walking tour with Arturo from Airbnb which was phenomenal and includes other sites as well. He speaks Spanish and English. I highly recommend.

This structure has only relatively recently been promoted more aggressively, but still seems to be rather under appreciated by the local residents. It is not all that easy to walk along its length, there are not a lot of markers giving you much information about the structure. At least it was not destroyed when Blvd. Bernardo Quintana was built. It does form a good backdrop for photographs and it helps give Queretaro a flair that many cities in Mexico do not have, or have lost as they became urbanized and industrialized. Is it worth a trip to Queretaro just to see this feature? No, but luckily Queretaro has retained, in the Zona Centro, a lot of its colonial and 19th century heritage, so there are other things to see here as well.

This marvellous and perfectly maintaoned aqueduct can be spotted from far away, as it runs into central Queretaro from the North and its massive columns become slowly lower and lower until they level with the ground. It is probably the very first piece of art you'll notice in this beautiful little central Mexican jewel, and it does remind you of the aqueduct you see when you approach Rome from South; although this one is of a more reddish colour and a couple of milleniums newer.

This was an architectural marvel. We walked there from the center and enjoyed the look-out, but recommend that you walk the block down to stand beside it. It is far more impressive from the ground.

We drove around town and then we made it to the church where you can take small tours daily. It was inexpensive and educational. My daughter enjoyed the history and the architecture.

Beautiful and full of love stories and myths. It is surprising to see something you could easily find in Europe in rhe heart of Mexico.
