Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

To celebrate its 450th anniversary, Queretaro’s officials inaugurated this new square (plaza) in 1981. The city was founded on July 25th, 1531 on this site called the Sangremal Hill, the highest point in the city.
Four pedestaled statues of the founders are located on one side of the square. On another side are cafes and restaurants and finally, it borders the famous Convento de la Cruz and the Contemporary Art Museum. I found very good home-made ice cream sold by an ancient woman between this square and the convent.
Every year on September 13-15, the native dancers (concheros) celebrate their spirituality here. A spectacle I am told is well worth coming back to see. When I was there, several concheros were practicing their dance. Although not dressed in their special outfits, it was still interesting to see and hear.
