Bushman pictographs in wonderful rocks

Several large granite rock outcroppings of interesting shapes, some have Bushman pictographs on them, some have water tanks. Camping areas.

A beautiful sight to see and explore. We ended up camping right at the base of the rocks, which was some of the best star gazing I have experienced in Namibia. A nice place to see on the way to or from Swakopmund.

Most people come to see the cave paintings, but the landscape is very unique and worth taking a couple hours to explore. Your camera and legs will thank you.

This has been another highlight on our Nam tour for us. The beautiful rocks glowing in the early morning or late afternoon sun is magical. Accomodation there was not the greatest so we suggest to stay one night only.

We spent 2 nights in the Spitzkoppe Camp. It was the most spectacular landscape if the whole Namibia trip, and that's something! We watched the most beautiful sunset ever, with incredible colors on Spitzkoppe mountains and the vast African landscape in front. Campsite is great you camp in a really nice area, quite far from reception, but just under Spitzkoppe... More

Stunning colours of Spitzkoppe make this place a photographers dream. Orangey/ red mountains, rocks, paths vast open spaces taken against the clear blue are absolutely amazing. Totally worth visiting. Breathtaking.

Looks small from far, but once you get close you really start getting a sense of its size. I would love to see it early in the morning and later afternoon, we were there mid day and the light was just to much for good photos. Stunning individual camps sites, got to stay over next timw.

We didn't had the time to stop and visit (or camp - which seems to be great!). But driving by is impressive to, as it is the only mountain in a large flat area.

I loved this place! I travelled almost 6000 km in South Africa, namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe and this is my favorite place. I slept in a tent around the rocks and under a beautiful moon.
