What makes Belleayre ideal is how the trails are segregated between green and blue + black runs giving beginners more than enough space to practice. Rental shop and a great ski school on site. It's also an easy distance from NYC, so perfect for a day trip.

I've had the pleasure of skiing on the majority of mountains in the NY, NJ & PA area and Belleayre is my favorite, especially when I bring groups of teens for rec trips. Belleayre is the perfect beginners mountain, and other mountains pale in comparison, whether it be bunny hills that are too steep or greens that are too advanced... More

The mountain is great, not too crowded but will not be returning because of the rude staff. The bar was busy and understaffed but the bartender had the audacity to make a scene because I complained about waiting HALF AN HOUR for service. He disrespected me while I was politely asking to be served since I've been waiting awhile. Management... More

Spent the day there Sunday February 19, 2017. Warm weather, blue sky and great skiing. Lot of snow this year helped a ton! Good grooming and also nice mogul runs. Lines were not too bad for a holiday weekend.

Have not been to this ski area in the catskills for about 30 years and...what an unexpected surprise. My daughter is a beginner and what a perfect stress-free way to learn to ski. The entire set up makes so much sense...the lower part of the mountain is all geared towards beginners. Parking, drop off, getting tickets, ski tune up are... More

We went skiing at Belleayre today so we could get back home to watch the Super Bowl instead of travelling farther north. My son and I were very happy with this ski area. The snow conditions were excellent. There are steep trails, mogul trails, steep mogul trails, and cruisers. The staff was friendly. The only negative was a chair lift... More

Loved this place! Let's start off with free parking and a super close area where u can unload and load ur gear. They have 2 mountains, a lower for beginners, green runs, and an upper mountain for the blue and black diamonds. We r beginners, so we stayed on the lower mountain. Sunday was full, but not crazy. We have... More

We recently took a family trip to Belleayre. We're mostly beginners, so Belleayre was a perfect choice. There are plenty of beginner trails on the bottom half of the mountain, and they range from bunny hill to longer trails that require a lift. That said, there are plenty of more challenging runs from several lifts to the top of the... More

It's a very nice place to ski. Lots of trails open and it's fun. There is an ample amount of trails, whether you're beginner, intermediate, advanced, or expert. We ran into a rude employee however. Jackie by the skilift tickets. She was just very unpleasant and very dismissive; a rude person who slapped her hand down on the sheet of... More

Visited in December 30th, and only about half the trails were open. Even so, lift lines were manageable despite the crowds. Staff is always friendly and lift attendants do a great job of moving people onto the lifts( kudos to the Superchief crew!) Food in base lodge upstairs much improved and such friendly service from two women working as hard... More
