second year that we've been there and it did not disappoint. We stayed at the KOA campground again , and it is a great value. Made a great score on diamonds. Kids had a great time, sleep all night!

My family stayed in one of the Deluxe Kottages near the Diamond Mine. It's a cute little cottage, clean, one full size bed, one couch/futon. It came with very clean bedding, towels, in the shower there is a dispenser that contains soap, shampoo and conditioner...More

Easy, three pits to hammer away at. Your rocks hold four different treasures 1. diamond; 2. calcite [rarity in Ohio]; 3. druzy; and 4. fossil. So don't go in just looking diamonds, look for other treasures too and you will be happy with your luck...More

The kids (6 and 7 y.o.) and adults all had a great time pounding in the rock/soil to uncover treasures. Do avoid going in rainy conditions and real hot days!

A great place to visit for a fun experience. Not really quality diamonds, but the hunt, the work involved, the time outdoors made for a great day. Brought home some 2 karat sized stones, some still in their rocks, which make nice decorations. Hint! Save...More

Breaking big rocks into little rock’s is how I always imagined the days would pass if serving a sentence at the Leavenworth Penitentiary. The possibility of finding “diamonds” makes it something that my wife has wanted to do for several years. It was an overcast...More

We stayed across the road at the KOA and walked over for something to do. Kids had fun in the diamond mine for about an hour, but got bored after they couldn’t find any diamonds. It was hot and way more work than anyone expected!...More

Our family had a great time here. This is a huge asset to the campground. We have never been to a Koa that had an activity like this attached. The staff were great! There was a fire not long ago here so everything is brand...More

Despite the rain, the kids had a wonderful time searching for Herkimer Diamonds here. The shop is fantastic with plenty to look through and unique treasures to take home. We will definitely go again when we have the chance!

Fun activity that we were hesitant to do but glad we did it. Firat hour, found nothing. But then we had luck! Then we were addicted and couldn't stop. Ended up finding some good diamonds both in and out of host rocks. Was a cloudy...More
