This park is big, but it is so well maintained. I love the carousel and there is always plenty of parking. Really nice park.

I have driven past this Park a billion times since I was a kid and have never come in for a walk. Took my dog there yesterday. BEAUTIFUL. Just a really nice park with many friendly people enjoying the nice weather. Cant wait to go back.

This is a spacious, safe state park with plenty of areas for picnicking, tennis, jogging, ball playing and many other things.

Today, my 13 yr old daughter and I walked around the lake. We parked by McDonald Pond, walk passed people picnicking and fishing and accessed the trail near where we drove into the park - off Peninsula Blvd. It's a nice walk in the woods. You can stay on the paved path or do as we did, walk on the... More

Nice lake and trails with horses, people and bikes. I know it as a clean, quiet, & safe green place to hang out, but upon reading some other reviews i realize that i have just scratched the surface. My mission now is to go find the tennis courts, the carousel, the pool, and the gym. Its a great park.

Beautiful state park, very clean. We would definitely go back for a day. We were under the pavilion so even with the passing showers we still had a good time. Park ranger came over to complement the music, he was very nice.

Nice location, usually have summer bbqs there with family and friends. Pool and work out center is nice and less costly than a gym membership.

My brother held a birthday party at the carousel house, for his 2 yr old son. I believe they paid about three hundred and fifty bucks for a 3hr use of the house area, and unlimted rides on the carousel for the adults and kids. Everybody brought a dish of food for the setup, which can hold about 40 -... More

The "newish" playground is a family favorite for us. It has a nice layout so that you can watch both your small kids and kids a little older.
