We really enjoyed the Hyde Museum and home. We especially enjoyed the Jane Peterson exhibit. She was a prolific artist who did so varied art...in the US and in Europe and Turkey. It is a small museum, but worth a visit.

I watched as Susan Stromberg created “ADIRONDACK NATURE” in marble in her studio, while specially enjoying The Lake George region. The sculpture definitely represents the title and was voted by the entire board to be part of the Hyde Museum Sculpture Collection.

This is worth the trip. A very unique house with a wonderful, small personal art collection purchased by the original family.

This museum is one of the best small art museums I've been to. The Hyde home itself is a beautiful piece of architecture inside and out, and the European art and antiques from the Hyde family's collection are phenomenal. The special exhibit of Impressionism paintings...More

Very impactful museum with a nice collection and great special exhibit. Easy to find, fun to tour (about 1 1/2 hours will do it) and near downtown with restaurants, etc.
