This beach has stunning, picture-like look. It has great Restaurant with great freshly grilled food (will cost you about 20 EUR per person without drinks). The bad news about Grand Anse is that current is extremely strong and dangerous, waves are rough and not suitable for young children and that there is practically no usable shadow to hide from strong... Well worth the cycle ride from Anse severe for us, although there is transport available. Great for wave bashing but not for swimming. As others have pointed out there is very little shade. Well worth a visit

Wonderful beach with a WOW factor. The water color is breath taking, but the waves can be dangerous. There is only one big tree that provide shadow, so avoid hot hours. There is a restaurant just there where you can enjoy fresh fish and cold drinks.

Sometimes there are a waves higher than 2 meters, so be very careful. I'd almost broken my back a few times. There is only one tree, so take an umbrella not to get burned.

My wife and I spent 5 nights in Seychelles, staying in La Digue (in Le Relax Beach House) in April 2013, on my 44th birthday celebration. On our 2nd day, we decided to visit Grand Anse, Petite Anse and Anse Coco on the same day, which was logical, as all those 3 beautiful beaches follow each other. So, we incredibly... More

It's really one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, but the waves were too big for me, so I stayed on shore. However there were a lot of people in the water:)

Grand Anse beach is a very large and popular beach on the furthest shore of the island away from the main town. To reach it you need to go on bike for about 30 mins up and down a few hills, but the ride is pleasant enough. You'll see many other people on bikes going there so you can't get... More

I traveled to the Seychelles because of a photograph I saw years ago. That photo turned out to be Anse Source d'Argent, which I expected would be my favorite beach. Grand Anse ended up being my favorite - it is an expansive white sand beach. It is uncrowded and was well worth the time it took to walk from town... More

The beach is lovely to look at. The waves are hard and the current strong. No swimming. The negative part about this beach is that there is hardly any shade, compared to the other beaches with vegatation very close. There is a restaurant near by, but we didn't try it.

Great beach but not as good as petit and D'argent (and must be less than marron and coco) Has great waves though and when you want to go to the other beaches you will see this one anyway. But this still beats most beaches elsewhere, easily for it's big, beautiful and very little people, no hotels and resorts,
