Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My group and I have never seen a nicer welcome center. It has beautiful photos, a gigantic TV screen showing the Finger Lakes, a map of the Finger Lakes on the floor, wines, coffee, etc. for sale. We went there twice!
Thanks so much John for all your help!!!

This is a welcome center on steroids. Besides offering the usual tourist information, it features a wine-tasting bar, a small cafe and gift shop featuring local preserves and such. Some interactive computer screens with information, and very nice photos on the walls. The floor is a map of the region and the porch and walkways offer walks near the lake shore and beautiful views of the lake. A big I [heart] NY sign is good for a photo op by the lake. If in the area definitely stop in.

My family and I stopped in when visiting the area and we were pleasantly surprised. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and a small shop with Finger Lakes treats were all highlights of our stop. We were able to get delicious coffees at the little store inside the welcome center after strolling along the lake. I would recommend visiting the welcome center to anyone in the area.

Large space (hopefully not funded by taxpayers doillars!) with little to offer. Brochures don't do much, and are available in hotels and with online searches. Overpriced snack bar - no one available to ask about new locations or events.

The nicest welcome center we have ever visited! Nice variety of tastings; Our complaint was the condition of the outside patio: expensive chairs and tables, covered with bird poop and feathers, so we couldn’t sit to enjoy the spectacular view of Seneca Lake. We complained to the workers (the place was virtually empty,so they had no customers). We were told „the birds won’t bother you!“ We ended up sitting inside…

We stopped here on on way to explore Geneva and the surrounding area. Beautiful place. Inside you can get sandwiches, souvenirs and do wine tasting. There are places to sit inside. If you go through the back doors, there are beautiful views of the lake. There was also a play area for kids. We were there on a Saturday and hit a little farmer's market that had a little bit of everything. Great place to stop.

Seneca Lake’s north end in Geneva has a different appeal from its south end in Watkins Glen. It is just as scenic. What is unique that they have inverted looking, stylish structures that shades Adirondack chairs. It is the only lake out of the eight finger lakes that we went sightseeing at that has the Finger Lakes Welcome Center.
Their bathrooms are clean. They have an interesting snack shop that also offers complimentary healthy seed crackers.
There is a huge screen that showcases what the area boasts of in terms of scenic destinations.

This place is really well done. We stopped there because we took the boat ride on Seneca Lake that leaves from there. The staff was knowledgeable. We had a little snack and waited for our boat tour. It was quite pleasant.

We stopped in about 3PM. It is a beautiful space. They have many local products for sale, as well as wine and beer tasting.
It was a beautiful day, and there was a DJ outside playing music. We walked out the back door to the right and went along the path thru the tunnel into the Solar Village. The walkway is paved, with glorious views of the lake.
Should be a first stop for anyone visiting Geneva!

Does it cost to launch the boat here? Or do you have to pay to park?

We were just there this weekend and saw that There are EV chargers. Does anyone know the Company There are EV chargers. Does anyone know the Company that provides these (eg Chargepoint, EV Connect)?
Written 28 June 2020
These are free chargers and I believe they are open access - you don't have to have the app to start. The pictures on PlugShare says EVLink by Schneider Electric.

hi do they t shirts, sweatshirts that say finger lakes?. Is there a beach there? ty

You can sit at the water edge. Directly out of the building, you walk across the concrete walkway and step down into the water. Over past the boat launch, there is space to sit , not much sand but you can wade in the water there . I saw hats, t shirts and sweatshirts for sale.
