Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My family and I where staying around the Geneva area and wanted to go see a movie, so we thought we’d check this place out, and it’s great! It’s got some nice staff and well as theaters in the back that have recliner seats! Super chill theater!

We were visiting the Seneca lake region, staying at the Fairfield Inn which happened to be next to the Geneva 8 MoviePlex. The Downton Abbey movie was playing and we had an open evening. They receiving area was small and the attendants were very friendly and welcoming. The theater had a small town warmth. The theater in which we viewed our movie was one of 8. There were six rows of 6 luxury easy chairs, 2 to the left and 4 to the right. The movie screen had no obstructions and the theater was quiet and very clean. We paid a little over $6 per ticket and consider this a very good value.

Went to the theatre to see the new movie Commuter with Liam neissen
It was pretty good as it was very mysterious through the first half.
The only problem is the fighting was so unbelievable that the beating he took would never of been able to be tolerated and still walk.
The theartre was really✳️ Nice . It held 40 seats all lovely and seemed pretty new recliners. Nice leather that worked by the push of a button.
Price was 6.50 for afternoon.
Had I believe 8 different movies, maybe 6 either way a plus to the area.

The sears are great. Very comfortable reclining chairs. But, the entire place is filthy. The chairs had been wiped down; but with a dirty cloth and they smelled like “dirty mop”. The bathrooms were just gross.

Went to a matinee around 5 PM on a Thursday evening, and still received Matinee pricing of $6.50. The great thing about this facility is the Sony Digital Cinema with reclined seating. Our theater only had 30 seats, which made it a cozy venue.
The facility was generally clean in the restrooms, however the carpet is older and doesn't give the lobby a "clean" overall look. Service line moved quickly. Overall, worth the trip!

As part of our anniversary adventure, we decided to go to the movies before our anniversary dinner. We had seen reviews for the brand new movie "The Big Sick" and it was opening there.
The theater is pretty standard for a multiplex. We bought our tickets at the concession stand. Since it was early that was no problem. When we left the theater, there was a long line waiting to both buy tickets and snacks. Our theater was packed...not. There were exactly four people in the seats for the matinee. No issue for us. Our only complaint was that the sound was a bit too loud. During the previews it actually hurt our ears.
The movie is great. Go see it. If you are in Geneva, NY, see it here.

A group of us went to a weekend matinee to see a very popular movie. Knowing there would be a lot of people going to this we purchased our tickets ahead of time. This does not reserve specific seats so we still had to get there fairly early to sit together. After picking out seats we returned to concessions to get treats & were told we had to get at end of line that was now trailing outside & down the sidewalk because it was for tickets & food. They have a perfectly fine ticket booth in the front foyer so why do they have to sell tickets & treats together. Very inconvenient for people who just want tickets or who have bought their tickets ahead & just need popcorn etc...especially on busy weekends. Any chance they could change it back to the way it was long ago? Pretty disappointing😒 and needless to say we didn't get our food in fear of missing the movie.

We were delighted at the reclining chairs for all in the theater for our viewing of Collateral Beauty.
