As a pilot anything aviation related excites me. This museum is outstanding: aircraft and cockpits you can sit in; interactive displays, authentic video footage throughout; and much historical significance covering the Wright Bros, Lindbergh and lunar landing. Disappointed that many of the hands-on simulators and displays were not working. Realistic adult admission of $15 gave me the run of the... More

This is a really nice Museum with great displays showing the history of aviation from the Wright brothers to space flight and everything in between. If you live on Long Island it is an easy drive with lots of free parking. Tip: some Long Island libraries have a free pass program for this and many other museums

Amazing expeiernce for the family....especially being a native Long islander. Conveniently located near the New Nassau Coliseum and the Fire Fighters Museum, as well as the Children's Museum....no wonder they call it "Museum Row"

We took our granddaughter to see the festival of trees held at the museum. There were lots of attractions and activities for her. She especially enjoyed the cookie decorating and then we all got to see all of the regular attractions at the museum. She was able to sit in an airplane seat and look out the window of a... More

The Cradle of Aviation Musuem is one of my favorite museums. It does an great job of telling the interesting history of aviation with a special emphasis on Long Island. I enjoy going there with my four children - ages 14, 11, 9 and 6 as there really are exhibits to interest all of them. They include some hands on... More

I had been Air Space Museums in Washington D.C. numerous times. I did not have high expectation for this visit. The museum covers a lot of time periods. The museum is well organized .It is a little gem for LI. Surprised to see and know the importance of IL for the history of aviation for USA. @CradleAviation

I don't know who does not love looking at airplanes and spaceships. This place shows the history of our nation in aeronautics in real 3D life. Kids will love the interactive exhibits and parents will like the clean and safe environment.

We took our grandkids (ages 9 and 7) and they were thrilled with the museum. So were the adults. It's a nice way to spend an afternoon and kids will be in awe, especially if they're into space flight. Great for active kids!

I was surprised to see a lot of planes hanging from the ceiling. The museum was very interesting. I really enjoyed the movie. We saw the Blue Angels flying. It was amazing. I felt like I was in the plane with them. Go see it for yourself. I think you would enjoy it. There is also a fire fighter museum... More
