Once known as the U.S. National Championships, the US Open originated as a single men’s tournament held solely for entertainment purposes back in 1881. Not long after, women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles and mixed doubles also became a part of the growing annual tradition.

Great place to watch tennis, always come here each year to watch tennis. Great seats, good food and plenty to do between games.

This was our third slam venue but for us, not the best we've been to. On the plus side, even though centre Court has massive capacity and the seating went high up, we sat in 4 different sections and I believe that you would have...More

Clean Beautiful Good food, plenty of places to watch tennis or lounge on the grass. So many venues to see players so you need to download the Open app and schedule your day to see your favorites

I didn't get an opportunity to peek inside the stadium as it doesn't allow public unless one is a member. Moreover, this stadium was under renovation and so, I couldn't get in anyway. The Corona park in the Flushing, Queens, NY looks very peaceful and...More

I worked here in 1978 when I was 13 years old which was the first year at Flushing Meadows. When I say this place has come a long way since that time that would be the understatement of the century. The center these days is...More

Looking to attend the US Open and coming from Philly. The website suggests avoiding driving but is it really that bad? Any ideas on parking cost for the lots?

My husband and I are planning to attend this year's US Open on Labor Day weekend and want to know which end (i.e., section numbers) of Arthur Ashe Stadium are best to avoid being directly in the sun for the least amount of time (daytime sessions.) Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Section 122 is perfect! Good view and no sun! I'd say from 120-140 you avoid the sun!

Hi - You said in your review of the US Open that there are giveaways and hospitality suites. How do you find out about them? Also, is it ok to bring any food in - like a sandwich and a bottle of water? Thanks.

If you want to wait on a long line with a bag then it is ok. Wear clothing with pockets to put your sandwich and hold your water. There are lots of food source in the food court. Have fun
