Loved the Panorama of New York City!

The small, easily accessible by car and a bit less so by subway, museum is home to the panorama/model of all of NYC--right down to each building. It needs some updating--the Twin Towers still stand--but the detail and overall effect is wonderful.

This museum was not what I expected and hoped. It is a small museum with small exhibits that were being renovated when we went. I expect that our next visit will give us a surprise once the renovations are complete. The museum has a very modern feel and has a great exhibit of New York City (that needs some updating)... More

Other than the panorama and the Tiffany lamp exhibit, everything else was kinda blah. The Panorama is very cool though. And if you like glass art the lamps are a must see. A nice stop from a walk in the park. There is a little cafe and gift shop as well. Bathrooms were very clean, and free tampons!

There is a scale model of New York City circa 1965 that fills a whole room. You can look down on it from various levels, and that is a main attraction of this museum nestled out on the Worlds Fair Grounds. In fact, it is in one of the original 1934 buildings. .

I visited this Museum while the Maintenance Art was on display (ends February 19, 2017). Artist Mierle Laderman Ukeles had numerous displays where she turned the NYC garbage into TRUE works of art! Fascinating. The cost is whatever you wish to donate. There is a gift shop and cafe on the lower level. The scale model of NYC is something... More

The museum was nice and I'm glad I got to visit. Its definitely shows the back story of the labor workers in NYC. The panoramic view of NYC was awesome too. They also offer a military discount. I enjoy visiting.

One of my favorite museums in New York City! I liked the Panorama of the City exhibit, showing a large-scale model of the city with all of its five boroughs. The museum is more than an art museum - it tackles relevant city issues such as its water supply, waste/landfill management, and social justice through activism. The museum building is... More

Fans of Tiffany lamps will want to make a beeline to this museum and its Neustadt Gallery, named for one of the earliest and most prolific collectors of these iconic Art Nouveau lights. Egon Neustadt was a Queens dentist who made his first purchase in 1935 – a daffodil lamp he picked up in a second-hand store in Greenwich Village... More

Hey! Ho! Let's Go | Ramones and the birth of Punk exhibition was incredible! There were lots of posters, photographs (including the passport of each member of the band!), clothes, musical instruments and lots of other interesting stuff for fans. Besides of that, there was an amazing exhibition with a panorama of the city of New York. All the details... More
