Although not in any way of the scale of the Bronx Zoo, the Queens Zoo it an extremely well designed zoo with plenty of animals and beautifully landscaped grounds. Took my 3 grand-kids on a summer afternoon. They enjoyed all the animals; especially getting up close to and feeding the farm animals. Also nearby is the Playground for All Children, where we spent the remainder of the day.

What a wonderful place to visit especially if you like nature and animals; you forget there are large buildings and massive amounts of cars not too far off in the distance; great place to take a breath of relaxation and pass some time onto the little critters.

When we left we learned how to develop a better respect for our earth. How to take better care of it. We returned to school and... More
