Plain and simple...just a beautiful place to visit any time of year. From the 4WD acces points on Democrat Point or the Sore thumb, to the Fire Island Light House, the whole Robert Moses Park area is just wonderful. Anyone from LI knows this is the place to be (even over the Hapmtons) Easy access via Ocean Parkway from the... More

I've been going to this beech for over 50 years. Considering how crowed it gets on a summer day it is still one of my favorites, throughout the world. I've been to beaches in Florida, California and the Caribbean, and while they may one advantage or another over Robert Moses, none was truly better in total. Catch it on rare... More

It was a long week, we both finished work early and we both needed to relax. After a bit of throwing ideas back forth we walked out the door, looked up at the sky which looked as if a storm was brewing and said how bout walking at the beach? Being on Long Island we have many choices of beaches... More

Great beaches and beautiful park. If you are lucky, a fox will honor you with his presence... BUT please drive slow as deer, foxes, and bunnies cross the road in the evening!!!!

Long Island Beaches are the best. This beach has a long stretch of white sandy beach. Its the start of Fire Island with parking.

I go to the beach at least 2-3 times a week in the Summer........Robert Moses is one of my favorites!! Unlike some other beaches (Ocean Beach on Fire Island) this is NOT the land of NO!! You are allowed to "play" on the beach whether it is tossing a football, a frisbee it is welcomed! I usually go around 10:30... More

I like Jones Beach and the Hamptons are great but far away. Just about the best though is Robert Moses on the tip of fire island (the part you can drive too). . Not as developed or crowded as Jones Beach, this is a family place and crowded on weekends but even better during the week. The parking is expensive... More
