My husband and I are racing fans. We realize the sport of horse racing doesn't have the same interest as when we were children. But if you want a different outdoor experience near the city, consider a day at Belmont Park. The admissions are inexpensive....More

Belmont Park has a very rich history. The facility sits on beautiful grounds. Of the NYRA facilities, this one is far nicer than Aqueduct but not as nice as Saratoga.

I've been coming to Belmont for almost 20 years. When there is a Triple Crown on the line there is nothing like it. Make sure you get grandstand reserved seats though. As having to stand on the ground floor all day would be pure torture....More

If you go on the NYRA web site, of Belmont Parks site, it will tell you the fall dates. If they are not running at Belmont , they are running at Aqueduct, across the Borough .
