The cemetery is very well kept and allows one time to reflect while walking through it. There are many trees and many different types of headstones. It is interesting to read some of the inscriptions - some lived a long life while others left this...More

So many interesting people here, accentuated by the burial site of the Confederate POWs from the Elmira camp. Quiet and peaceful for a walk.

I went to the cemetery to visit Mark Twain's grave site. This cemetery is huge. My gps took me to the cemetery. There are signs pointing to his grave site. Got lost in cemetery trying to find my way out. Not all entrances are open.

What a gorgeous cemetery! From landscape to old tombstones, we were awed by this beautiful place. Mark Twain's grave was easy to find since the signs were everywhere the moment you go though the gate. Must see if you are near by.
