Driving along Lake Erie we found the Dunkirk Lighthouse and Veterans Park. A lovely setting on the water's edge as you would expect but some brilliant historical artefacts and details all about the Great Lakes History. A small site but well worth a visit

Spectacular view of Lake Erie , Fantastic light house and Museum. with true to the times artifacts. We visit often with a picnic basket. Nice hiking along the shoreline.

Though closed at our visit we could still gain a sense of this sentinel on Lake Erie. Legally or not, we took advantage of office parking across the street. Worth going out of your way for.

Very nice time at this location. Very friendly staff. Lots to see. A staff member is with you on your tour. You start in the lighthouse keepers cottage which shows the way they lived. Upstairs, which used to be the bedrooms, are lots of memorabilia...More

The lighthouse itself is wonderful, but I especially liked that it is located in a park honoring our veterans. The 1st floor of the lighthouse keeper's house is furnished as it was early in the 20th Century while the upper floor is full of military...More
