We are regular visitors, my grandchildren can easily while away an hour to two feeding the trout and the ducks, so I am confused that some people find so little to do. Part of the charm of this place is the relaxed and tranquil atmosphere,...More

Very bleak, not many animals, not much to do for adults or young children, we had got round the whole thing in 15 mins and wondered what we had paid £15 odd for? Apart from chickens and ducks, not a lot to see. Kids park...More

It's a shame you were in and out so quickly – most visitors spend up to a couple of hours here. Apart from the chickens and ducks you mention, we have wallabies, meerkats, pheasants, otters, pygmy goats, chipmunks, owls, conures and marmosets, as well as...More

We were impressed with the brochure and were looking forward to seeing some birds and animals in pleasant surroundings. However the cages were mostly quite bleak and we felt that by and large the environment was not stimulating enough. We did not stay for a...More

We had a spur of the moment decision to come to this place which we'd never been to. What a lovely surprise - a hidden gem - beautiful scenery, loads of little animals of all kinds to view and a nice little restaurant to enjoy...More

Idyllic location in small village of Aby. Went here for lunch, food was excellent and for the one-off low price which lasts for a year you can also look at all the animals, spot the trout etc so plenty to do for 2-3 hours. We...More

This attraction, if you can call it that is not as interesting as the brochure published by the management would have you believe. Ok it an old water mill next to a stream. All you can see of the milling machinery are some gear cogs...More

Hi Daniel, glad you liked the animals! Most visitors spend a couple of hours or so at Claythorpe and take their time to enjoy the tranquility of our unique home. Adult admission for 2018 is £5.80, kids are £3.50 (20% of that is VAT), and...More

We finally decided, after many years of passing the “Claythorpe Watermill” road sign, to pay a visit. The old mill is very picturesque and doesn’t disappoint upon first impressions. Having read some of the negative reviews I am amazed how unsympathetic and narcissistic certain people...More

That’s so nice, thank you – we really appreciate the support and encouragement!

You’re absolutely right about our approach to ongoing development – we aim to deliver one major chunk of work each winter closed season. We’re now four years into our six-year plan to...More

Hello there, it is just about suitable. Outside is mostly on the flat but the cafe is up steps and some of the walkways to the attractions are bumpy and uphill
