Absolutely Gorgeous almost Island Park. Areas to picnic, nice area to walk and lovely playground. Not so great if it is windy and the bathroom isn't always open. There's supposed to be a nature center, but we never seem to catch it when its open.

We have always biked to this park. There is no fee if you walk or bike in. There is a beach, grills and a playground.

Gorgeous, relaxing place to bring visiting puppies for a riverside romp. I've heard the cope/rangers are sometimes grumpy about off-leash dogs (as they should be), but an off-season visit with a friend's dogs was delightful.

Yes, there is a part of the park that was a landfill that CLOSED AND WAS COVERED over 30 years ago. It is off the road in and not intrusive in any way. There are no picnic tables there and although we go often, we rarely see anyone on it. There are picnic benches along the Hudson River that offer... More

Best garbage landfill I've ever been in, highly recommend. I like to have picnics on top of the mounds of garbage. There are lots of paths across the landfill, so you can see every single inch of garbage Croton has to offer.

Lovely place with wide open spaces. On the water. Would be great for photographs or bird watching. Play ground for children.

Recently visited the Park on a Saturday morning. Soccer games, walking, biking, jogging all going on next to the Hudson River. Less than 2 mile walk round trip. 9/11 memorial sundial at the end of the path. Nice way to spend an hour or so. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could.

Stayed here one night Oct 4th.. Nice quiet state park, however the girl working the office is over the top!!! We called twice and wanted to verify we could get in the same day and she said she would call us back within an hour. Neither time did she call back. We finally called a third time and got a... A nice county run park in Westchester County. Enjoyed the views including ones of the Tappan Zee Bridge construction. Saw wine cave, cute cabins that you can rent. Even a wedding was taking place there. Includes a beach area, a pavillion, and walking trails etc. A $10 park entrance fee, cheaper if you have a county pass. Nice place for... More

We travel in a 40 ft diesel coach. Site 48 was large enough at an angle. Even though we made a reservation for a 50 amp site, with water and sewer.... this site only had 30 amp service. Yes, we were disappointed, but the closeness to NYC made up for this issue. We stayed in Newburgh before and this park... More
