The exhibition is beautiful, small, but beautifully done and the pieces that are in the exhibit are quite exquisite. a Huge mosaic pillar from Tiffany's show room, several fireplaces surrounds and beautiful huge plaques. This was a day trip from Rochester, NY for our family to celebrate Mother's Day. We assumed that three hours would be enough time to be in a glass museum after all, how much could they have? Boy, were we wrong. My daughter wanted to do the make your own glass activity and that took an hour as she was... More

Great lesson and entertainment! Make sure to visit the demonstrations offered on the schedule, the artists are wonderful at showcasing their beautiful art and the process. The exhibits are great and plentiful. Small children or/and those with short attention span might not enjoy it as much. However, if you are patient and like to learn new things, amazing place!

We parked at the Welcome Center and it was a 3 minute walk to the museum. The 35 centuries of glass area has many amazing items and it was interesting to see so many different pieces, especially the creativity and detail in some of them. Since there are so many pieces, you can start to lose interest after a couple... More

Corning New York was the home of several of the 5 men who jump started the modern studio art glass movement in the USA. The Corning Museum of Glass is one of perhaps four imperative experiences of the American art glass movement in the USA

I really wasn't expecting much when we went to the museum. Man I was wrong. This museum dedicated to glass is a can't miss if you are in the area. We were fascinated by the glass artwork. You will learn everything you ever wanted to know about glass. Plan on spending at least a couple of hours.

We had a fun time waking around here but we weren't super interested in what was on display. The modern art was especially not our thing but we did really enjoy the live demonstrations

Great collection of glass art and glass works and glass technology replete with demonstrations. Displays include the history of glass from antiquity to contemporary. Nice cafe and bargains galore in the museum store. Shuttle available from free parking to the museum as well as to other notable attractions like the Rockwell Museum.

Learn about the making of glass, watch them make glass art, make it yourself. The museum store is fantastic with item of glass art from a few dollars to over $50,000 - but most is inexpensive. Great place for children and adults.

Thank you for your review. It sounds like you had a great visit overall and how wonderful that you were able to Make Your Own Glass treasure.
