The Lab has all sorts of social stuff going on. Young adults interested in science can attend in summer, we have been to interesting music events, and a constant is the tour of the whole laboratory. I work here, so I see several people coming in I recommend to go to the website and come with one of the campus tours look at the calendar of events , there are several public lectures , concerts and other events please note this is a working research laboratory, not an attraction! don't expect to just walk into the... Strolling the grounds of this famous laboratory in Cold Spring Harbor you can only imagine what fabulous minds have developed in this lab. You can take a guided tour of the facility and learn many interesting facts. There are educational opportunities available for children and adults.

We toured the Cold Spring Harbor Lab campus. So incredible all the research that is going on there. The grounds are gorgeous - overlooking the harbor. The researchers are doing incredible studies. So exciting to have such a world renowned facility on Long Island.

So you're attending a "tour" of the replica of the oldest mummified human being led around by one who is reading from note cards and from the same wall plaques you can read from and cannot answer the most simplest archaeological questions. The lab is located on an amazing piece of property, with beautiful views. It's nice to walk and admire the architecture, then stroll along the peninsula beach. There are many educational programs for children and adults.
