We frequently attend shows put on by the HVSF and they are always entertaining. We enjoy the setting and the chance to eat a picnic dinner on the grounds as well. However, I was especially impressed by their decision to create a community project around...More

Delightful evenings can be had under the tent. It's fun to bring a picnic along before the show. For a local stage, the HVS attracts a game acting roster - a few pro, semi-pro, mixed in with a few extras. I prefer the classical presentations...More

I go to the Shakespeare Festival at Boscobel a few times each summer. Just saw the Robin Hood production. It was terrific. Funny, romantic, a great story in a beautiful setting. Even the songs were entertaining. Go out and see it!

Excellent play, the actors are so talented. A play the whole family could see. Setting on the grounds overlooking the Hudson River is breathtaking.

How can you go wrong, enjoying the words of the Bard being performed in a beautiful “tent” on the gorgeous grounds of Boscobel, with the Hudson River in the distance? Good acting and creative costumes also contribute to a lovely evening activity

Magnificent production this season of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, directed by Shana Cooper. Bring a picnic supper and wine to enjoy the grounds before the performance. Nine of us had a stellar evening!

My wife and I have been coming out from the west coast to attend the HVSF summer series for the last two years. This company is fresh, their plays are inventive and the actors are stellar. If you can break away to see "Pride and...More

There are many good restaurants in nearby Cold Spring, as an alternative to a pre-show picnic on the lawn if it rains
