We were visiting the Rochester-Buffalo area for a week last September and devoted an afternoon to this site. I love gardens, historic homes, picturesque sites, etc., so I was really anticipating a great visit here. I have to say it was a "mixed bag." First,...More

Even in the Fall, it was such a beautiful natural park and grounds. Gardens, trees and lots of green space and the mansion grounds are just beautiful.

Beautiful place to visit. After paying admittance fee, a volunteer driving an 8 passenger golf cart will drive you to the mansion. Also returns to take you back to parking lot or cafe or wine tasting/gift shop. A sweet, knowledgeable, docent gave 4 of us...More

I have visited Sonnenberg Gardens many times this summer and have fallen in love with it. The gardens are beautiful and change throughout the entire season. The mansion is indescribable. The staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and their dedication is obvious.

What a lovely afternoon to spend viewing the house and gardens! The house is both grand and intimate. So many greenhouses and gardens to explore.

The grounds and the house can't be described in words. The history is so interesting. We were there during a craft fair so it was crowded but this place is a must see.
