Offering a beach and natural areas, this park is a haven for a wide variety of bird species. We visited on a cold, windy day, exploring Orchard Beach/Hunter Island. Excellent views of waterfowl.

Grew up near Pelham Bay Park and have wonderful memories. Kept fit walking 5 miles everyday around the inner and outer track. Left the Bronx 10 yrs ago and whenever I return, I make sure to stop by the Park for a visit. Sounds crazy...More

The park is espectacular. Perfect for picnics, bike riding, or simply walking. The 12 BX bus and the train 6, last stop, takes you there! Just go!!!

The only thing that sucks is that if you enter the beach parking lot and you have a car and you want to have family time and enter with a T&LC license plate (taxi car) you MUST pay $13.00 . That’s not fair to us...More

There is a very big parking lot for Orchard Beach - just follow the signs. You may have a hike if you are coming later in the day. There is a fee to park from Memorial Day until Labor Day. The city parks site says: During... More

Old Orchard Beach is in Maine. Orchard Beach in the Bronx is part of Pelham Bay Park on the shore of the Long Island Sound.
