2-8 year olds seem to enjoy the place. Plenty of rooms and themes in which a child can immerse himself or simply divert to for a moment. It's a must stop visit going to or leaving the beach. Keurig coffee at the front desk for the parent entering their 2nd hour following the kids around is a welcome relief.

This place features indoor, artificial reproductions of local attractions: Indoor "farm stand," indoor "fishing boat," indoor "old time soda fountain," etc etc. Are these really nicely put together? Yes. It's a great playroom for kids up to about age 7 or maybe 8. Is there educational value to this? Quit kiddin' yourselves, folks. Why not go outside and go to,... More

My grandkids LOVED this place (ages 2,3,4 &5). It is not as large as a couple others we have visited but it is very well done. A mini store, pirate ship, firetruck, tractor, all kinds of music makers. The playroom was a huge hit as well. We spent hours there and will make it part of our summers from now... More

Ideal for young children 3-5. My 7 year old had fun but was a little too old for this. The museum was in immaculate condition and had fun interactive play areas with dressing up opportunities. It would be a great place to go when there were organized activities on.

Very nice activity for children from tots to about 8 years with lots of hands-on activities. Art, role-play, outdoor playground, mini golf.

Brought my 6 and 2 year olds. Lots for them to do. We spent 2 hours and didn'teven get to the mini golf. It's a big circle of rooms and there weren't a lot of people there that morning. I felt comfortable letting the 2 year old run free and explore. I watched and helped her play but didn't have... More

This is one of the most fun museums I've taken my young kids. It's a hybrid of a children's play center and a museum. They have a ton of fun activities but it's best for kids between the ages of 2-5. My older child especially liked the fire truck where kids dress up in a fireman costume and "drive" the... More

Don't be misled by the word "museum." The Children's Museum of The East End is not for observing. It's for doing. This is a super special place designed by people who know children and what they like. It is an incredibly clever, beautifully presented, endlessly fascinating hands-on happening that encourages learning and creative fun. Youngsters from toddler age though early... More

Have been several times with grandchildren and it was always well maintained and lots of fun for the little ones. Recently it appears that it is being neglected and sliding into disrepair. The womans/childrens restroom had NO toilet paper and was very messy with discarded papers all around and garbage receptacles overflowing. I approached two "staff" members- males who were... More
