It was afternoon and we were borderline tired. Minisink was our last planned stop for the day. I had to see it because I had grown up a member of the Minnisink Swim Club (just a pool) in Chatham NJ. I was not disappointed in...More

You can imagine the battle as you walk around the rock formations and look through the forest. If you try hard, you can feel the fear the Patriots felt when trapped. There are no guides in the park but the writings tell the story as...More

Easy walk and manicured park with history we did not even know about. It was not far from our B&B and was a nice stop.

While the park is a great place to commune with nature and hike in the woods, I appreciate the interesting and educational history displays about the battle of Minisink. Places like this and the nearby Roebling bridge provide a depth and perspective to American history..

Took the battlefield walking trail. Very easy walk. Forest was pristine. No trash anywhere. Good for about an hour.

We were here on a Saturday afternoon in June while camping at Kittatinny down the road. We were the only people in the woods. It was beautiful and relaxing - also very interesting information about the Revolutionary War battle that took place in this area.
