Locals like to tell the story of Ronnie’s Shop, which Ronnie was fixing up to be a farm stand. During construction Ronnie’s friends played a prank on him by painting the word "sex" on his sign. Instead of a farm stand, he left the sign as it was and opened this pub.

What a name for a place. It has absolutely nothing to do with the name. It's a simple bar, on the motorway. Very clever to name it Ronnie's Sex shop😉

Ok, the concept and the name are great. We were there in the morning so not up for libations of any kind. In those circumstances it was nothing special. Mainly just a.tourist trap to sell t-shirts . I can imagine arriving at 4 or 5...More

We knew we would be travelling between Oudtschoorn and Swellendam along Route 62 and every time we looked at a map one name would stand out - our eyes were drawn directly to it. Ronnie's Sex Shop! Fascinated, we looked it up on the internet...More

Very Interesting stop. It has a pub with lots of atmosphere. It's a bit weird though. There is a outside restaurant and a shop.

In the middle of "nowhere" - a nice pitstop - beers were ice cold, food whilst we did not eat looked more than adequate and facilities clean. Been there got the t-shirt would be a good summary.

I read the reviews on trip advisor and some were negative. I don't understand why? You have to take Ronnie's for what it is. It's not the Hilton but an interesting place to stop and have a quick toasted sandwich and a beer or a...More

Hi Hannah O, unfortunately they do not offer accommodation. Your best bet is to stay in a nice B&B in Barrydale. Barrydale is a nice artistic town with good accommodation and restaurants.
