We did the wine & brandy tasting. We have done a lot of wine tasting but it was a pleasant surprise to find white that was chilled to perfection. The young lady that helped us know her products extremely well. She has a bubbly personality & is an asset to the cellar.

A group of friends and I, popped in for lunch and a few drinks on a Saturday afternoon at this fairly new restaurant. What a great lunch it was! Brilliant service, amazing pizza, GREAT setting! With a view overlooking the river, you don't even feel like you're in Barrydale. Sadly I did not try the craft beer and ale, but... More

Local cradt beers, wines and hand crafted brandies. A must when in Barrydale. Although we did not eat due to time, the pizzas smelt great!

We stopped here at 9.45 as part of our road trip and had an Italian pizza and tasted their beers. Pizza was delicious and the beer was great with it. Perfect place to stop for food and great view and experience.

This is a great place to visit if you are wanting to taste wines from the Barrydale and Ladysmith areas and the local pot still brandy . The first two tastings are free , after that there is a tasting fee of R30 per person . The very friendly host will explain a little about each wine or brandy and... More

How nice to find local wines at great prices. And what a great find to see the local brandies. 3,7 and 10 year respectively. Buy local it's the right thing to do.

Visiting Barrydale Cellar is an experience. They are specialised in producing brandy and wine. You can buy their products only at the cellar. Trying their Ruby Carbenet and Shiraz, I definitely go for the Shiraz wine. Obviously a nice 10 year old brandy will do after dinner. If in Barrydale take some time out to do a tasting.

We called in just to taste "probably the best brandy in the world". We were not disappointed and were attened to by a delightful young lady. The brandy was good and well worth stopping for as we bought two bottles of the 10yr old. She also reccommended an excellent place for a light lunch with the unusual name of "Diesel... More
