    Worth the time to stop’
A must see! A great stop on our drive to Texas. Reasonably priced ($8 adult $7 adult student). Excellent exhibits of dinosaurs, mineral & crystal collection, meteorites, planes & insects…..much to see! Worth the time to stop (45 - 60 minutes) Friendly, knowledgeable staff! Didn’t catch her name, but she was great!

    Great museum
We visited during our 2 days in Tucumcari. This museum was put together with fossils, minerals, meteorites as well as bronze cast dinosaurs for all to touch. The displays are all well designed and described. I was amazed at the detail and order to the museum. There is also a wonderful staff and nice selections in their museum store for all ages! The entrance price is very reasonable and would be great learning experience for all ages. Will visit again if I am back in the area. I'm sure there is more to learn here!

High quality exhibits, both interactive and view-only displays, observation lab onsite
The museum supports and enhances the hands-on learning of students who participate in the Mesalands Community College paleontology program. This is a well-appointed and maintained facility and well worth the time and modest admission fee you will pay. I was so impressed with the museum I actually made a donation to the foundation that supports it. The gift shop is carefully and imaginatively stocked, too, for those who like a souvenir (or several). It was a great place to find gifts for the grandkids!

Mesalands Dinosaur Museum is a small museum in Tucumcari NM. The curator is polite and informative. The price is reasonable so don’t try to get away with saying your 12 years old unless you really are. After a long drive this is a pleasant place to stretch your legs and learn some natural history. If you have half an hour to spare it’s definitely worth your time.

We had a fantastic visit and learned so much! Our family had a wonderful time. The sweet lady at check-in was super nice and very helpful. We appreciated being able to use the wheel chair (no fee), it helped make our visit more enjoyable. The museum was the perfect size, it wasn't too small or too large.

Truly impressed by this museum that was put up by just a junior college. Bring your kids although they do have one shells in the fossil section so if you have Tree Nut Allergy’s, do you need to consider your visit carefully. They do have great monographs, and many of the statues are in bronze , so you are able to touch them.

This is a must stop museum in Tucumcari! Very well done paleontological museum with lots of local dig finds. The exhibits are well made and interesting and we loved that it’s done by the local community college.

Northern New Mexico is the place for dinosaurs and this museum captures their existence in a big way. So many artifacts so well displayed. We could have stayed here for hours if we didn't have our dogs traveling with us. BTW The gentleman who greeted us indicated that the museum has air conditioned accommodations for smaller dogs. He wasn't able to charge us admission due to an issue with the computer system so we made a donation. After going through this museum, we would have donated in addition to admission. It's that good.
