Friendly staff, cute gift shop and loads of history! I got to ride "Bootsie" AND color! And no kids around to bug me! We went early on Saturday and had the place to ourselves for a good while. It's a great place for kids (not that I am suggesting that you should procreate) and adults. The bathrooms are clean; major... More

In the smallest town I've seen...more interested in what people do in this town than the dinosaurs! Had one cool sand/water exhibit. Other than that, not too exciting, but cool if you like science fiction Very nice gift shop. Employee was very friendly.

I was on a trip from Sante Fe, NM, to Amarillo, TX. I wanted to find something redemptive to take some time. I had read about the Dinosaur Museum in Tucumcari. It was well worth stopping for and very surprising in a small town that seems so very much down on its luck. I think families with children would love... More

My partner & I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this "dinosaur" museum. They were still putting the finishing touches to one section but 90% was open/accessible. A great mixture of resin (and other materials) models and genuine artefacts. NOt a huge space to have to walk around either - very compact. There are interactive things for kids to enjoy and even a... More

My husband & I spent almost 2 hours here and learned so much at this dinosaur museum. You can even see into the lab where they are doing research. This is also a great place to bring your kids.

Came in to buy a toy dinosaur for a grandson and got a very interesting short tour. Certainly would like to return when I can stay longer.

Good for kids, allows them to touch and feel. Glass partition to see lab where people work on fossils. Suggest putting up a map to show general locations / areas (but not exact) of where fossils are found, just like is done in the western Oklahoma Panhandle.

What an AWESOME PLACE!! It's small but so worth it. So much to do and see. Live scientific research happening in front of you. They were doing dinosaur eggs when we were there. Ride the dno!!

This is a great, short stop across I-40's wide open expanses. The museum isn't huge, but still worth the time. Our boys enjoyed being able to see representations of dinosaur bones and skulls. Stop in, if you have 30 minutes to an hour.
