Embudito Trail is a relatively easy to moderate trail if you are in reasonably good health. It is nice and scenic and if you look closely you'll see things like the ring necked lizard. If you share the hike with one who knows their vegetation, there are some interesting flowers and plants. One of my favorite things was to watch... More

The Embudito Trail seems far less busy than La Luz. It is just as challenging a climb, though. The views are spectacular, and just get better the higher you climb. The side trail to South Peak seems pretty clearly marked. Just after the side trail heads off up the hill, the Embudito dips into a little glen, which is sheltered... More

This trail offers a multitude of views for runners, bikers, and daytime walkers with dogs. Stay in the foothills for these activities or pack a lunch and head into the mountains with your favorite two-legged or four-legged friend.
