We spent about an hour here enjoying the very beautiful and quiet location. Exploring the many different rooms and reflecting on how life must have been back in Colonial days was a unique experience.

The twisty, winding road brings you back in time to when Indian raids were something to be feared. This self contained home shows in great detail what life was like in the wild west. Tons of artifacts help the visitor understand the way people lived...More

As stated by another, this is an overlooked gem of a museum. Well preserved rooms, artifacts, the structure itself is interesting and informative. The kitchen was especially impressive to consider what tasks were accomplished there! Recommend this special place to explore! Travel tip: the narrow,...More

This was one of the better museum visited in our recent trip to New Mexico. It is a bit out of the way but well worth the time. They don't get very many visitors which is a real shame. The self-guided tour gives an idea...More

Nearly missed this place, not well signposted but glad we persevered. Definitely a hidden gem. We spent quite sometime going through and reading the history - fascinating. Definitely a must see in Taos.

This is one of those very old, must see attractions in Taos. A lot of history transpired within the thick adobe walls.
