Every time some friend or family is visiting I take them here so see how amazing earth ship construction can be! Houses made with adobe and trash?? Gotta see it!

What brilliant minds have put this area together. Somehow I feel they will be the survivors of the apocalypse!

Interesting. The tour was not worth the money. You didn't get to see anything. I would say if you're at the Gorge you should drive down and check it out; it's just a couple of miles. It really is very interesting and you more than...More

Seen it on tv, seeing in person is amazing. Architects and law enforcers around the world should open their minds to this. Reduce landfill, no more utility bills. Super creative free flowing bedrooms and bathrooms. High tech, no missing luxuries. Finish of walls and floors...More

We drove up and look at the structures from the car but even just looking at them from a distance they looked pretty interesting. It appears that they were building a "dormitory". I think they teach the methods to build them there.

This is a cool roadside attraction, but I don’t know if it’s worth the $8 fee for the self guided tour. You get to see the inside of a structure - the visitors center. The large, really cool structure next door is only viewable from...More

Visiting this site offers a full sensory experience - the eyes are amazed at the visual oddity, the nose enjoys the humidity produced by the greenhouse, the walls beg to be touched. The brain reels with the complete package - the big picture of recycling...More

Well worth a little journey west of Taos to see the eclectic and fascinating cluster of "earth homes" made from tires, bottles, cans, etc. in all strange shapes and sizes. Take the tour and see how these homes are made self-sustaining. Went back last year...More

I didn't go on the self guided tour as reviews had said it was over-rated. Instead just read the information inside the visitor centre, and experienced the beauty of it. Absolutely wonderful. Just makes me want to come back and stay!
