The Taos Festival was going on last weekend. There were vendors and bands inside the plaza. Everyone had a great time. The shops were open during the day so you could still shop both the vendors or the regular shops.

Lower scale version of the Santa Fe Plaza. Lots of retail stores that offer trinkets to fine jewelry. Someting for everyone. We actually enjoyed the boutique shops and restaurants adjacent to the Plaza more.

We always go to Made In New Mexico shop, it is most friendly and their online shopping is the best service we have experienced. Summer Bands play in the Plaza every Thursday I think.

The architecture of Taos is so different from anywhere else. The buildings are old and feel and still look that way. Obviously updates have been made but the Plaza and Bent Street are really a neat experience.

Typical New Mexico plaza quaint shops low mid to low end tourist type trinkets... if your looking for a better time go just a bit to Santa Fe for a better plaza experience...

Enjoyed the shops & galleries surrounding the plaza. Many fiestas and gatherings occur during the summer so be sure to look up a local calendar events before going.

The Mountain Candle Store was interesting. They make the candles on site. Some of the candles have several different scents made into one candle. As the candle burns you smell a different scent. We ate at The Alley restaurant tucked in a corner close to...More
