Use your gps to make sure you don't miss your turns. The modest village life and awesome scenery may distract you from the road signs that should direct you through a well-paved out-of-the-way adventure.

Read a review that recommended take the low road up from Santa Fe and the high road back. I agree. Great views and hit the foliage perfectly. We stopped in Chimayo on our way down. The church and grounds are nice.

Nothing spectacular but a nice drive through the area. There are some nice views. There was little traffic in November so it was a relaxing ride.

You won't regret taking the High Road starting at Nambe Pueblo slowly climbing through several art-filled villages to Taos. Several pullouts for photo opportunities. Lots of curves and wildlife so watch your speed.

Enjoyed the beautiful scenery and staying in Taos. Road follows the Rio Grande River. Enjoy sunset and small town.

A little longer than the low road but we'll worth it, for the quaint towns and amazing vistas along the.way

Not quite as spectacular as expected, but don't have another route to compare it to. Pretty scenery.

The folks at Santa Fe Harley-Davidson recommended the road for my ride to Taos. The views are great and you can stop at two historic churches. I highly suggest if you have the chance, do not pass up this road.

A quick google of altitude for the high road lists the highest altitude as 8581’. That’s higher than I thought. Still fun. 😀
