Los Rios River Runners is New Mexico's oldest, largest, and most...

Los Rios River Runners is New Mexico's oldest, largest, and most experienced rafting company. We've been rafting through the spectacular river canyons of northern New Mexico since 1972. We offer trips from mild to wild, from half-day to 3-days, from the world-class white-knuckle whitewater of the Taos Box (available as a full-day adventure or as part of a multi-day overnight) to family fun adventures and serene floats. Spend starry nights in the serene Chama wilderness, or float along a mellow section of the Rio Grande with a Native Pueblo guide and a traditional feast meal awaiting you at the takeout. Sunset dinner floats too! And check out our multi-sport adventures: rock and raft, pedal and paddle, and paddle and saddle. Los Rios has more access to more stretches of river than any other NM rafting company, and offers the broadest variety of trips. Come boating with us, and take home lifetime memories.

We did a day long rafting trip with our 8 year old granddaughter. It was a wonderful trip! The guides, Eric and Bruce, were great. Eric was the guide on our raft and he knew so much and helped us learn about the topography and geologic history of the area. He was also a very good guide in terms of... More

We ended our week in New Mexico with rafting the Rio Grande Middle Box with Los Rios RiverRunners. This is my second trip with them. I brought my boy scout troop here to do the Taos Box run back in 2009. This time with my wife, we did an easier run. The middle box was enjoyable. Even the mile long... More

After having some issues with one of the other rafting companies in the area, we joined Los Rios for the half day trip. Bruce and Richard were the guides and they were great! We went in October and the water was relatively calm, but there were still some rapids that sped you along and required some paddling and maneuvering. I... More

This was the best part of our trip!! We had never been on a float trip, and I was apprehensive, but I knew that my husband really wanted to do it. I think this is the only float company that offers float trips during the first part of October so I was elated to find it. There were only two... More

This is one of the few, if not the only, raft companies that still operates float trips in late September, in fact, my wife and I were the only customers and they still did the trip. This place was also the only one who actually answered our e-mail inquiry, the others did not even bother to answer us. We are... More

We had 5 people in the raft along with a native American guide and a oarsman. The water level was low and the oarsman had to get out of the raft to get us through some of the low spots. There were a few minor ripples but no splashing in the raft. At the end of the trip, we were... More

We went on a tour of the Rio Grande in Taos and I was really impressed by how our guide, Shay really answered our questions and made the trip really memorable. It was my second time rafting and I would definitely recommend and would love to come back

The river was really low, but the Los Rios folks still made the experience fun! There were a few issues: 1) their van does NOT hold 10 people. They expected 10 people in the van and it was very uncomfortable. It isn't a long ride, but we can drive our own cars there and be just as effective. Nonsense on... More

Adam was the perfect guide for our full day on the river at the end of August. We couldn't have had a better time. He was funny and knowledgeable. This wasn't our first great experience with Los Rios and won't be our last.
