We were looking for something to do and decided to drive out to the Blue Hole. It is a beautiful area and would be a good place for a picnic.

This amazing little artesian spring is right in town and easy to access. We were pleasantly surprised by how few restrictions there are...the risks are clearly stated, but jumping off the low cliff is allowed and an access point is provided. Since its cool weather,...More

This was a great surprise to find in the middle of New Mexico. Be sure and plan ahead with a suit and maybe even dive gear!

A beautiful surprise! My granddaughter loved jumping into this "blue hole". Life guards were on duty. It was not crowded. A nice break from our cross country travel.

Well worth the detour from the main thoroughfare. Try to go in the evening or weekend when the scuba divers are there. It's fascinating to watch them.
