While staying in Ruidoso for a few days, we looked for a break from shopping and found Grindstone right near town. It was well maintained with hiking for all levels. There were groups of fishermen scattered around the lake and we found picnic tables with...More

Clean, well-kept park with easy trails. Variety of birds for the birders. Lots of people were fishing the day we visited.

We have three daughter the youngest being 6. They were able to hike the easy trails. We had a blast. We did 3.8 miles in about 2 hrs. Recommended for families who love the outdoors.

Enjoyed the hiking and the scenery. Seven mile loop around the lake is intense, but there are shorter trail options available.
