This place is gem of a place. So many cute animals, open free to the public. We took our group and were really impressed by how well the animals appeared to be cared for. I saw a badger up close. Thank you Roswell!

This is a great little zoo; and it is also free. There is also a train you can ride for .50 cents a person. We only wish that some animal exhibits had more shade for the animals. However, the animals all look very healthy and happy. There is also a souvenir penny machine by the reptile house. The best attraction... More

Let me start by saying this, manage your expectations. This isn't a zoo in San Diego or Dallas, it's a FREE zoo in Roswell, NM. That being said, it is a wonderful place to visit. The animal selection is very good and the animals all look healthy and happy. My kids can't get enough of the train ride and merry-go-round... More

You can't beat the price because it's free. Not a huge zoo but still pretty awesome for a free zoo. The have a concession stand with cheap snow cones. 50 cents or $1 for a large. Hard to beat killing some time here. I'd go back!

This little zoo is wonderful! The beautiful little lake is great for picnics and feed the ducks and geese. The animals are well cared for and the park is beautiful! It is free and a wonderful place to hang out with your family!

Like others have stated, there aren't a lot of animals here, but it is free. The train and carousel are fun and only 50 cents a ride. It's a big area, and lots of grass to have your picnics. I'd never seen a white peacock before coming here, absolutely beautiful. Kids enjoyed the playground area and cooled off with snowcones... More

Not bad for a small zoo. Many animals common to my back yard, not so exotic here. Too many prairie dogs! Lovely park.

I stopped by the park to take a walk after my workday. I saw on the GPS that there was a zoo at the park, but I figured it cost. When I got to the park, I was surprised to find the zoo free. It was a little run down and many of the cages were empty, but I was... More

This little zoo was a quick stop to kill time, but it's definitely not like some other bigger ones I've been too. Great for smaller kids, and it's free so why not.

I saw a goat type animal that appeared lame. Kids were feeding them anything they could get their hands on. Most enclosures were reasonable but i was saddened by the two black bears. They pace next to the disgusting water in their pen. One walks across, throws her head back and walks back all day long. The other tags behind... More
