This was a quick stop but it was interesting. The staff was friendly, the museum had interesting things and facts to read about, expected to see more about the outlaws that passed through the 1800's-1900's from many readings referencing Las Vegas, NM. More about Roosevelt....More

This is a small city museum, but the exhibits are well-displayed and marked. A Teddy Roosevelt buff would love it. Not only are there exhibits on the history of the town, there are exhibits on the Rough Riders (many of them were recruited from New...More

This little museum has a variety of artifacts from the years gone by. There is truly something for everyone - although not a lot of it! There were many photographs, a grand piano, ladies' purses and such, knives and a couple displays of household rooms....More

This is a small museum but the staff were quite knowledgeable and helpful. There is no charge to see this museum though they do appreciate donations. You can view the entire place is about 30 minutes but not bad for a small town.

We went to this museum to see the Rough Rider collection of memorabilia and that did not disappoint. Fascinating information also. It's a very small museum and doesn't take much time to see it all but they have a very nice collection.

Had been meaning to stop for years and glad I finally got around to it. Great local museum with well presented exhibits. Being an amateur historian my main interest was on the Rough Riders exhibit, but what I seemed to enjoy the most was the...More
