I enjoyed visiting Old Mesilla Village several times when I was in Las Cruces. It was nice to visit the square, read about local history, visit the church and shops. It was an easy, unhurried few hours.

Good parking situation; good places to eat; fun shops to visit; nice square; we visited at the end of October and there was a Dia de los Muertes thing going on in the square. It was fun to wander around and see the altars.

NO idea. it may vary shop to shop. there are restaurants and bars that will be open but I have no idea about the shops. Call a shop called Silver Assets and ask.
