We stopped and glad we did. Had a nice visit with the owner. He shared so much information about his gem collection. We came out with a beautiful stone and lots to check on our own. Well worth the stop.

Be prepared to learn a lot about rocks. The owner is a walking encyclopedia and has some beautiful pieces. He's been there a long time and the building was built just for the museum. Neat place to visit if you have the time.

This place has the best selection of local thunder eggs aka geodes ever seen. They have their own claim where they dig geodes out of the ground.
