I would have never thought that such a small New Mexico town as Cleveland would have such an interesting Museum. In the latter part of the 19th century, the Mora Valley was a big wheat growing region. This Roller Mill was built to process the wheat. What makes this mill interesting is that it has been restored to working order.... More

I had randomly seen it on tripadvisor while going to Taos the back way and have to say for a Labor Day family idea this was ideal! The local businesses had great items to sell the food was beyond delicious and there was music... More

This part of northern New Mexico once grew huge amounts of wheat to feed Fort Union and supply the Santa Fe Trail. Mills sprung up throughout the mountains to make flour. I have been to this mill on a couple of occasions. I am not sure if it is open full time but I know that once a year in the fall the mill is open and is running. They sell flour in their little store, and outside they have a festival with live music, foods and craft booths. Plan your... More

This site is open only on weekends and limited times. But, if you can make the Roller Mill Fest, then you will find a farmers'-artists'-locals' market of at least three ethnic groups and and dancers. The mill is fascinating to see when it is open and running. Friendly folks.

They have local vendors, food, musicians and museum tours. The kids loved the tour and the old mill wheel. Great place to visit... More

Our hiking club is from Trinidad, CO and we decided to go visit the Cleveland Roller Mill last fall. It was fabulous. If you have never been, it's worth seening. Our hostess was excellent. She know everything about the mill and gave a fabulous tour. We were there approx. 2 hours. While in the area we had outstanding tamales at... More
