The trip was part of the social programs of the conference. The site is nice, quaint, well kept and instructive. Visiting the decades old Skanderbeg Museum you can learn a lot about country’s feudal times and about the local icon ruler of the 15th century....More

It is not as interesting as other attractions in Kruje, mostly because of not very precise and sensitive restoration of the fortress.

We were there on a Monday, so the museum was closed. However, we did walk around the grounds and it is lovely. The views are magnificent.

The fortress contained a very interesting museum on the history of Albania. The murals and statues are larger than life. Information boards have parts written in english.

The visit to Kruja castle offers a good insight into the history around Skanderberg, a national hero born in Kruja. There is not much to see anymore of the old castle, but it is still a nice walk up there. When there it is also...More

The drive up was past some bunkers and the climb was steep. No wonder this castle proved hard to take by enemies. We wandered the area and climbed up to the castle. The panoramic view is worth a little climb.

There are only ruins of the castle and a museum at the top of the hill but lovely views. The walk up is steep but you pass through nice wee market streets . The Skanderberg museum is quite interesting .

Not much left, just a closed tower and part of the walls, bit very close to the museum where we were and excellent views of Kruje and its surroundings.

There is a museum in the castle. The entrance fee was about € 3 per person, but I can't remember it exactly anymore. The children had to pay as well.
