Like other reviews this place is pretty impressive. Its still a bit how it used to be 40 years ago during the war. Its pretty heavy to see what a kind of torturing techniques they used back then. In half an hour we went through...More

If you are in Phu Quoc you should visit the prison. Why? Because it is about Phu Quocs history that's why I think it is worth a visit. However I wouldn't recommend it to families with young children because you will see violence.

I can't believe something in Vietnam is actually free. Even the parking is free. I was expecting huge crowds but it was quite relaxing to walk around and read about the prison history. There was a lot of info about how the prisoners got tortured...More

We weren't sure if this place was worth a visit, but we did it as part of a day tour around the island. We are really glad we went there as it was a very emotional visit - you can actually see and better understand...More

It might be better to use a wheelchair because the prison is quite big and there are stairs that lead into each cabin.
