We took a rented motorbike to see the 'Forest Walk' marked on our map in the north of the island. Looking at the map here of this National Park it was on the northern perimeter. It turned out to be a 18km drive in a very lonely road, through dense forest. Just trees and more trees. We felt very vulnerable... More

You can't access the park itself, but there are some walks you can do by yourself. We rented motorbikes and drove on dirt roads to visit one trail. It was two km of easy walk (slippers). We saw two types of monkeys, hornbills and countless butterflies. Visit phuquocislandguide for descriptions, the vietnamese version has several maps with starting points of... More

We spend about 1h walking the trails. Upon arriving we realized a native was following us, he didn't speak any english but somehow we made him understand we wanted to see some monkeys and he walked with us listening for monkeys sounds and pointing. We took pics with him near the end and figured we would offer him some tip... More

This is one of the best beach in Viet Nam. It is near Cambodia and lies within Thailand gulf, you will fall in love with its white-sand beaches and resorts, most of which are along the palm-lined southwest coast. You can vacation here and do all kinds of activities like motobiking, hiking and wildlife wiewing. And not to mention about... More

We drove around here on a dirt road on our rented scooter. The forest is beautiful and you can enjoy the eerie song of the cicadas around you. If you are exploring the island on your own, the park is well worth the drive up north, and is shady enough in the afternoon to make it tolerable in the hottest... More

It's a fun ride if you like dirt, mud & bikes. Don't expect a lot visually ... It's not rainforest etc. Lots of different sounds & you can hear the monkeys but they are quick to move away from you when you stop. We glimpsed 3 groups but they swung away thru the trees quick smart.

The Phu Quoc National Park actually covers the northern section of Phu Quoc. You will see giant green signs that mark the national park area. As of 2015 you cannot venture into the core area of the park as it has been shut down, but you can drive next to it via the Bai Thom Hwy. Tip: Wildlife can be... More
